About The CDA

The Caribbean Dermatology Association was started in 1992 by a group of mainly English speaking Dermatologists, with the first meeting taking place in Jamaica. Our membership now includes doctors from the Dutch speaking Caribbean, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States of America and the US Virgin Islands. Each year, the meeting is held in a different island.

We use these trips as an opportunity to maintain old friendships and form new ones. We get updated on what is new in dermatology and also learn about each other’s islands and cultures.

Our Aims & Objectives

  1. To stimulate the co-operation of societies of Dermatology and co-operation within the field of Dermatology throughout the Caribbean.
  2. To encourage the advancement of Dermatology and Dermatological science and education.
  3. To promote personal and professional relations among the Dermatologists of the Caribbean.
  4. To promote public information, education, and involvement in matters pertaining to Dermatology.
  5. To promote research among members of the Association.
  6. To represent Dermatology in other International Organizations.
  7. To encourage closer ties with non-English speaking territories of the Caribbean.
  8. To advise Caribbean Governments on matters pertaining to Dermatology, whenever necessary.
  9. To hold a Caribbean Dermatology Association meeting every year.

Our 19th meeting will be held in the beautiful island of Antigua (November 3 – 6, 2010).
